Today I watched a film starring R. Madhavan, Neil Nitin Mukesh, and Kirti Kulhari. It’s just 1 hour 51 minutes long, streaming on Z5. So how is this movie? Let’s have a quick chat about it. To be honest, I watched this movie only because R. Madhavan is in it. There was no other reason for me to watch it. When I saw the trailer, I thought this movie would be about some special loophole or scam in a bank, which it actually is. After watching the trailer, I hoped it would turn out to be a surprising movie like Lucki Bhaskar. But the way this movie starts and progresses, it doesn’t even come close to Lucki Bhaskar. I’m not talking about the story here; I’m referring to the presentation. Talking about the story, the movie is about Radhe Mohan Sharma, a T.C. played by R. Madhavan, who is a straightforward, honest man who keeps track of every single rupee.
He has an account in a private bank owned by Mikky Mehta, played by Neil Nitin Mukesh, who commits a scam of 2000 crore rupees. Radhe Mohan realises this. Now, can Radhe Mohan prove this scam in front of everyone? And will Mikky Mehta let him do that easily? Watch the movie and find out yourself. To be frank, you can definitely watch this movie. The topic is quite good. Generally, we’ve seen some excellent content related to money scams recently, like the Harshad Mehta scam series from 1992, or the Abdul Karim Telgi scam from 2003, or recently the Lucki Bhaskar movie. One common thing in all these was that the main lead was the scammer, and their perspective was different. Plus, their presentation was also very impressive. But here, this movie falls short in presenting a good topic well. It lags behind in execution. There’s no impactful moment in the movie to impress you, no tension build-up, no edge-of-the-seat scene.
Almost every scene is predictable, dialogues are forced, and the comedy feels very unnatural. I saw Himanshu Malik in the movie and was shocked because I had seen him years ago in the movie Tum Bin. Even that song Sur had a certain charm, which brought back memories. But seeing him play a side character here was disappointing, so lame, I don’t even know what to say. And Neil Nitin Mukesh has got three names, but his acting scores zero. You are playing the villain who committed a 2000 crore scam, so at least show some aura accordingly. Throughout the movie, he just looks like he’s dying repeatedly. I’m not using any bad words; watch the movie and you’ll understand. Anyway, despite having a good serious topic, due to lack of presentation, this movie turns out to be very average. You probably won’t find any fault with R. Madhavan, but when he’s not given good dialogues, how much can you expect from him? There are a few funny songs, simple execution of the story, and due to all this, I’m giving this movie an average rating of 2.5 stars. You can watch the movie but keep your expectations low and watch it only to pass time. It is family-friendly, so you can watch it with everyone comfortably.
