Tuner: A Sharp, Suspenseful Acoustic Thriller!

Tuner: A Super Tense Thriller Where Music Meets Crime 🎹🔒 Directed by Daniel Roher (the guy who made Navalny ), Tuner takes a very quiet, old-school job and turns it into a high-voltage mind game. It is a lot like those classic suspense movies where a person’s special talent becomes their biggest problem. The movie beautifully turns the simple science of sound and pitch into pure thrill, giving us a super smart robbery story. The Vibe: Amazing Sound Design Meets Big Crime 🎚️🏢 The film does a great job of showing a deep character story while keeping you on the edge of your seat. The Story: We follow a lonely, super-focused piano tuner who has a literal superpower, he has 'perfect pitch' and can understand sounds like nobody else. His quiet daily routine goes out the window when a fancy gang of criminals forces him to join them. The Robbery: The mission is perfectly made for him. He has to use his crazy good hearing to crack an impossible, high-security loc...

Chhori 2 Movie Review: A Sequel That Delivers or Disappoints??

It often happens, right? When people watch a film in a theatre, they say, “Yaar, this should have been released on OTT.” But have you ever heard the opposite? ‘Chhori 2’ was released directly on Amazon Prime, right at your home. It’s quite common that Hollywood movies get remade in India to make money, but here’s a film that Hollywood actually copied and built their careers on. ‘Lapachhapi’ was originally released in Marathi, and the moment I watched it, it became one of India’s top five all-time horror movies. Later, the same director remade ‘Lapachhapi’ in Hindi as ‘Chhori.’ The surprising thing is, even though the language changed, the fear factor in both films was equally intense.

So, what happened to the Marathi version? I don’t know, but the Hindi sequel of ‘Chhori’ has already come out. I have watched the film. Enough of those timepass ghost movies where they scare you by showing things right in front of your eyes. Now it’s time for horror that creates fear in the viewer’s mind. By the way, both titles, ‘Stree’ and ‘Chhori,’ sound quite similar, don’t they? ‘Stree’ was still a comedy, but ‘Chhori’ is a serious, total no-nonsense dark ghost film. Now, the important question: is this the kind of horror movie you should watch alone? No, absolutely watch it with family because the film is a family horror. The whole story revolves around family and friends. Another question that might come to your mind is whether you should watch Part One before watching ‘Chhori 2’?

The director himself has given a summary of Part One in the film, so it’s not necessary to watch Part One first. But if you haven’t seen it, you can watch it later. The fear in that film was different; this one’s fear is different. Talking about fear, this story is about a prince who even scares the sun. Many years ago, the sun wanted to burn a little girl with its heat, but this prince saved her by hiding her in his darkness. The girl grew up and married the prince. Now, many hundreds of years have passed, but amazingly, the prince is still alive. Since he can’t handle the sun, he lives hidden in a cave underground. If the story is about the prince, then why is it called ‘Chhori?’ Because the prince has given all his powers to the ‘Chhori.’ She is the one who keeps him alive. Didn’t get it?

The old queen brings new queens for her prince, and these new queens rejuvenate the prince. Even today, there is a wedding happening in that cave. You can also go see it. Whether you return safely or not depends on your courage. If you’re weak-hearted, better stay away. Let me ask an easy question: when you hear Soha Ali Khan’s name, does any good film come to your mind? The answer will be bitter, but everyone has to admit it. Now imagine how amazing this film must be if it makes you feel no one can act better than Soha Ali Khan! That’s the power of this film. Expect the unexpected. You think you’re preparing for horror, but this film hides a terrifying story. It’s more of a suspense thriller than just a ghost story. And the other actress in this film has set a world record. Imagine someone getting beaten up on stairs, being pulled down one by one by the hair. How would that feel?

Until now, you’ve never seen a female actor in any Bollywood film get beaten up so brutally. It sounds easy, but watching it won’t be. This is a silent warning, these are disturbing scenes. What I mean is, ‘Chhori 2’ is a brutal film. It does not discriminate between boys and girls. Whoever comes in front, gets beaten up badly. That’s what they call gender equality. Actually, the film’s cast has no big names, so you have no idea who will do what. The story is the real surprise. Slowly, it will blow your mind. The director has done the rest with music and camera angles. Gone are the days when people were scared by the wind blowing doors. Sure, the more you watch the film with your eyes, the better it will seem, but later when you think about it, another story hidden behind the story will appear. Call it rudeness or courage, the director has shown our family the real ghost.

Whoever understands this will enjoy the film; otherwise, it will just be a timepass movie. One advice: if possible, watch the film with headphones on. I promise the experience will become ten times more intense. I’ll give it three stars out of five, boss. First, getting the best work out of average actors and showing the whole world how amazing Nushrratt Bharuccha can be. Second, connecting the concept to real life and cleverly hiding a story behind the story. Third, how horror is not just shown but created. VFX surprised people with just a good story. Honestly, the negatives didn’t scare as much as Part One did because the main ghost in this film wasn’t used as frighteningly. Also, the ‘Chhori’ in this film wasn’t used in horror scenes. The biggest childhood fear was the walking doll. You missed the chance to scare people with a moving doll. Boss, do watch the film and try to watch it with family. Just don’t expect too much of a masterpiece.

Narivetta: The Wolf Hunt Movie Review: Tovino Thomas' Boldest Film YET??

So, I watched the movie Narivetta, which actually released in theatres a month ago. But I didn’t get a chance to watch it earlier because there was no watch option available here. I wanted to watch it mainly because, first of all, Malayalam films usually have strong content, and secondly, this movie had created quite a hype after its theatrical release. Now, this movie has come on Sony Liv, it was supposed to release on 11th July, but they uploaded it a day earlier. Anyway, it’s finally here, and I have watched it. The total length of the movie is around two hours and fifteen minutes. The first half may make you wonder whether to continue watching or not because the gripping moments, which you expect in any content, disappear after the first 15 minutes. It follows a simple storyline about one man who is poor but educated. He works very hard to become an IPS officer, but due to his family’s poor financial condition, he is forced to take a job as a CRPF constable. After that, the story t...

Meiyazhagan Movie Review: A Story of Stories, Forgotten Memories, and Quiet Reflections

You cannot call yourself a true fan of Indian cinema until you have watched the masterpiece 96 from the Tamil film industry. It is an experience that takes all of us back in time under the pretext of showing a film. This cinema is more real and emotional than real life itself, where you start finding yourself, and when the film ends, you try your best to somehow change its ending. Very few movies are made that you won’t find a single person in the entire world speaking against. Every person who has watched this film became a lifelong fan. The story of Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha was truly once in a lifetime. Every single scene in the film was perfect, every dialogue had meaning, and the music was heavenly. But listen carefully, I said ‘was’, because past tense no longer applies. Now, in the present, there is a film that can rival 96, a film so flawless that no human on this earth can find a mistake in it. If anyone asks for the true meaning of the word ‘cinema’, just show them this fil...

Argylle Movie Review: A Shocking No-Hype Film

So I went to see Superman i.e. Henry Cavill's latest film Argylle which is a spy comedy thriller movie of 2 hours 19 minutes. How is this film, let's talk. Well hello, my name is Artist and we will meet again and again. First of all, this film is not hyped, brother, no seriously, the show I went to, the theatre was actually completely empty. Well, is it worth taking interest or not? Let's talk about the movie, brother, even though its story is from a spy genre, Story telling and concept shown is very different, I mean from a writer's point of view, in the first half you will feel as if you are watching a super natural fictional story, I will not tell much otherwise it will be a spoiler. But the way the writer's fictional character has been connected with real life was great and also I liked the action sequences and editing of this film is the best, the best example of which you can see in its train sequence. You will find it in the sequence where a good fight is goi...
