It is a lot like those classic suspense movies where a person’s special talent becomes their biggest problem. The movie beautifully turns the simple science of sound and pitch into pure thrill, giving us a super smart robbery story. The Vibe: Amazing Sound Design Meets Big Crime 🎚️🏢 The film does a great job of showing a deep character story while keeping you on the edge of your seat. The Story: We follow a lonely, super-focused piano tuner who has a literal superpower, he has 'perfect pitch' and can understand sounds like nobody else. His quiet daily routine goes out the window when a fancy gang of criminals forces him to join them. The Robbery: The mission is perfectly made for him. He has to use his crazy good hearing to crack an impossible, high-security loc...
Imagine a movie in which a 12-year-old boy is brutally killing everyone with a bow and arrow. Anyway, I watched 28 Years Later, a post-apocalyptic horror movie. So, how is this movie? 28 Years Later is actually the third movie in this series: 28 Days Later (2002), 28 Weeks Later (2007), and now 28 Years Later. The movie is directed by Danny Boyle, whom you might know for his survival thriller “127 Hours”, a brilliant film. He also made "Slumdog Millionaire." By the way, the next part, "The Bone Temple," is set to release in 2026 since both parts were shot back-to-back. Now, talking about the storyline, it continues from the 2002 virus outbreak, which still has an impact 28 years later, in 2030. People have separated from the mainland because it’s filled with all kinds of zombies or infected people. The survivors who stay away from the mainland have formed their own community. People only go to the mainland if they need to kill an infected person or retrieve something from there.
The rest of the story you’ll have to watch in the movie itself. What’s good is that every encounter with zombies is terrifically brilliant. The scary movements keep you on edge, constantly wondering what will happen next, whether they’ll survive or not. Plus, the brutality is intense. But in the second half, when you expect even more brutal content than the first half, the mood shifts to mostly just a single train scene. After that, the story falls flat compared to the hype. Towards the end, you’d expect an extreme outbreak since it’s a zombie movie, but it kind of cools down instead. The movie even hints at the next part, inviting you to come back next year, fresh and ready. If you skip the last half-hour, the movie is good, but there’s a lot of gore, so keep it away from kids. It’s not very complicated, but you do need some basic knowledge of the previous films. If you just want to see brutality, zombies, and action, then go ahead, no one’s stopping you. I’d rate it 2.5 out of 5 stars because the second half disappointed me.
