Tuner: A Sharp, Suspenseful Acoustic Thriller!

Tuner: A Super Tense Thriller Where Music Meets Crime 🎹🔒 Directed by Daniel Roher (the guy who made Navalny ), Tuner takes a very quiet, old-school job and turns it into a high-voltage mind game. It is a lot like those classic suspense movies where a person’s special talent becomes their biggest problem. The movie beautifully turns the simple science of sound and pitch into pure thrill, giving us a super smart robbery story. The Vibe: Amazing Sound Design Meets Big Crime 🎚️🏢 The film does a great job of showing a deep character story while keeping you on the edge of your seat. The Story: We follow a lonely, super-focused piano tuner who has a literal superpower, he has 'perfect pitch' and can understand sounds like nobody else. His quiet daily routine goes out the window when a fancy gang of criminals forces him to join them. The Robbery: The mission is perfectly made for him. He has to use his crazy good hearing to crack an impossible, high-security loc...

Crazxy Movie Review: Ek Dum Hatke Film OR Worth a Watch?

Hollywood people have this habit, right? Showing big content in a small film is quite tough. They make barely one to one and a half hours of cinema, but within that short span, the audience’s senses are blown away. Now, our Hindi film industry is treading the same path. They’ve made a 90-minute film, but in each minute, they’ve shown as much content as in 90 films. Crazy people have made a crazy film, and it’s equally important for the viewers to be crazy enough to watch it. This film is not for everyone. Here’s the straight review: If you consider yourself a true fan of Bollywood suspense thrillers, you must have definitely heard the name MOM, a tale of a letter and revenge, where everything happens that no one ever thought of. On the other hand, there’s a film that has created its own category; it doesn’t fit into any other list.

You must have heard the name Tumbbad, undoubtedly Bollywood’s Number 1 Film. Now just imagine, if the person who wrote MOM joins hands with the brains behind Tumbbad, who do you think benefits the most? You, me, the audience. Because of Soham Shah, I have seen a film in my life for the first time after which I am scared even of my phone’s ringtone. You may have watched many horror films, but have you ever been scared by a film’s song? Have you ever heard of music itself becoming a ghost? Don’t make the mistake of thinking Crazxy is just a small, ordinary film. Vishal Bhardwaj, Gulzar, the producer of Animal, and Soham Shah himself, the face of Tumbbad, are all a part of this. Together, they have made a film whose ending will either make perfect sense to you or will drive you towards madness after 90 minutes. Do you know what the first scene of the film is?

The intestines inside a human belly are arranged like a puzzle game, where the player has to quickly find the way out. Far beyond Delhi, somewhere in a forest, a live operation is going on. Just like cricket is shown live on TV, the phone screen shows a hospital room live. The patient’s heart has stopped; in other words, the man is half dead. But the person watching all this on the other side of the phone knows how to bring the dead man back to life. Don’t worry; this is not about ghosts or spirits. That man is a surgeon, a doctor, who can save a life just by watching on the phone. But in the meantime, the screen freezes, the phone rings, and the doctor gets another emergency case.

The interesting thing is, this case is a bit personal because the patient on the other side of the phone is the doctor’s own blood, his daughter. And here’s the amazing part: we probably know more than the doctor about the disease that the daughter is suffering from. It appears to be a kidnapping. The doctor will have to treat it himself with his own hands; phone work won’t do here. And the kidnapper’s ransom style is the icing on the cake: if a certain amount of money is not paid by a certain time, the python tied around your daughter’s neck will tighten and finish her off. Now I’ll tell you something that will instantly relieve all your tension, April Fools! On 1st April, this new emergency case came to the doctor.

Confused, aren’t you? What’s real and what’s a joke? Did that life-and-death operation on the phone end or was it just the end? The doctor’s name is Abhimanyu. Now it’s the audience’s responsibility to get him out. Ready? Just hearing this has probably given you a headache, right? So imagine how difficult it will be to keep yourself composed through each scene when you actually watch the film. You might need a headache pill after watching because the experience is so terrifying and very real. It’s not easy to watch this film. While the story is very interesting, the film is shown in a very unique style. The snake game has been played; the camera has been rotated in the same style.

The film doesn’t just explain what a cycle (chakra-vyu) is, it shows it repeatedly in different ways. You will understand this line properly only when you watch it in the theatre. And yes, you have never seen a film before whose songs manipulate your mind, meaning they challenge you. You will have to find and tell the ending of the film yourself, but all this is worth it when the climax suddenly hits you with something completely unexpected, a moment after which everyone is left speechless. Just like there was a real-life message about greed in ‘Tumbbad’, something similar has been attempted again, but the way the message is delivered is terrifying and horrifying. The first thing you must do is stay away from spoilers; otherwise, the whole experience will be ruined.

Crazxy deserves four out of five stars, firstly, an amazing story, top-level Soham Shah’s masterclass acting, a mind-boggling climax, and a unique camera style. The downside: there is a bit less detailing about the film’s other characters, especially the villain angle could have been given 10-15 minutes more for the audience to be even more scared. I have already told you, this film is not for everyone. But if you want to see something different and new, and watch it before it becomes underrated. The film is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Narivetta: The Wolf Hunt Movie Review: Tovino Thomas' Boldest Film YET??

So, I watched the movie Narivetta, which actually released in theatres a month ago. But I didn’t get a chance to watch it earlier because there was no watch option available here. I wanted to watch it mainly because, first of all, Malayalam films usually have strong content, and secondly, this movie had created quite a hype after its theatrical release. Now, this movie has come on Sony Liv, it was supposed to release on 11th July, but they uploaded it a day earlier. Anyway, it’s finally here, and I have watched it. The total length of the movie is around two hours and fifteen minutes. The first half may make you wonder whether to continue watching or not because the gripping moments, which you expect in any content, disappear after the first 15 minutes. It follows a simple storyline about one man who is poor but educated. He works very hard to become an IPS officer, but due to his family’s poor financial condition, he is forced to take a job as a CRPF constable. After that, the story t...

Meiyazhagan Movie Review: A Story of Stories, Forgotten Memories, and Quiet Reflections

You cannot call yourself a true fan of Indian cinema until you have watched the masterpiece 96 from the Tamil film industry. It is an experience that takes all of us back in time under the pretext of showing a film. This cinema is more real and emotional than real life itself, where you start finding yourself, and when the film ends, you try your best to somehow change its ending. Very few movies are made that you won’t find a single person in the entire world speaking against. Every person who has watched this film became a lifelong fan. The story of Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha was truly once in a lifetime. Every single scene in the film was perfect, every dialogue had meaning, and the music was heavenly. But listen carefully, I said ‘was’, because past tense no longer applies. Now, in the present, there is a film that can rival 96, a film so flawless that no human on this earth can find a mistake in it. If anyone asks for the true meaning of the word ‘cinema’, just show them this fil...

Argylle Movie Review: A Shocking No-Hype Film

So I went to see Superman i.e. Henry Cavill's latest film Argylle which is a spy comedy thriller movie of 2 hours 19 minutes. How is this film, let's talk. Well hello, my name is Artist and we will meet again and again. First of all, this film is not hyped, brother, no seriously, the show I went to, the theatre was actually completely empty. Well, is it worth taking interest or not? Let's talk about the movie, brother, even though its story is from a spy genre, Story telling and concept shown is very different, I mean from a writer's point of view, in the first half you will feel as if you are watching a super natural fictional story, I will not tell much otherwise it will be a spoiler. But the way the writer's fictional character has been connected with real life was great and also I liked the action sequences and editing of this film is the best, the best example of which you can see in its train sequence. You will find it in the sequence where a good fight is goi...
