Kill Movie Review: Better Than Animal??

I recently watched a film called "Kill," on JioHotstar which has a runtime of less than two hours. You could say it's fast-paced. So, how good is this fast-paced movie? Does it engage and entertain you? Let's talk about it. You know, very few movies in Bollywood have been made around the concept of brutality. The last one we saw was "Animal," but if you want to see more brutality, "Kill" is a great option for you. The story revolves around an army officer who is a commando in the NSG. Actually, there are two commandos, and one of them is our lead hero, Officer Amrit Rathore, played by the new actor in Bollywood, Laksh.

He has nailed the role of a soldier. The way he showcases combat fight skills, his good looks, acting skills, and action sequences are impressive. He has a bright future ahead, no doubt about that. Now, talking about the story, 90% of the movie takes place during a train journey at night, where some robbers board the train. When our hero realises that the villains are going to harm his girlfriend, you will witness an extraordinary, animal-like avatar that you won’t believe. Every killing had me saying things like, “What the hell!” Seriously, this is truly one of the most brutal movies made in Bollywood, which cannot be handled by the faint-hearted. It’s pure A-rated material, I’m telling you. 

The way Laksh has acted, you will become a fan of this guy. Even Raghav, who plays the negative role, has done a fantastic job. His dialogue delivery will make you laugh and scare you at the same time. He’s like the Joker from Batman; you like him but also fear what he might do next. Raghav has played such an impactful character, and hats off to the makers, editor, and cinematographer for creating all the action sequences in such a compact space like a train. You will feel the tension right from the first 10 minutes, and literally, till the last moment, that tension and thrill will stay in your mind, making you wonder how the makers thought of such a storyline. Raghav even says in the movie, “Who kills like this?”

While watching, I was so engrossed that I didn't feel anything during the killings; it was quite enjoyable for the audience. There’s no need to focus much on the story; it’s all about the action here, which has been given an emotional angle that you can connect with. This is actually the power of direction and acting, keeping you fully engaged. Due to the shorter runtime, they focused on aspects that keep you entertained throughout. Overall, in my opinion, this movie is one of the finest in India. Do note that this film is rated A due to its gory and brutal content, so you can watch it with adults at home, but it does not have any adult scenes, so don’t worry.
