Review:
For a long time our audience has been saying that they wish a movie is made that touches the level of Hollywood just a little bit and fulfills everyone's dream but the problem is that when that movie is made, our audience itself does not support it and tries to prove it as worst movie. But the discussion is about that film industry which has changed the entire Indian cinema by giving movies like KGF, Kantara, 777 Charlie and going beyond budget, star and money. The name of the movie is UI.
It is a strange name but if you searched even a little about the film, you would find that 50% people are giving it zero stars and the remaining 50 want to give it 100 stars out of 10. Imagine how strong the suspense of that film would be. In the first scene of which the makers themselves have put a disclaimer that if you are intelligent then leave the movie here but if you are stupid then watch the movie till the last scene. This is a simple warning for you people, book the tickets of this movie only if to accept this condition Are you ready or else sit at home?
So what is there in the movie that after watching it many people are saying that even a director like Christopher Nolan cannot even think of making such a movie? To give you a simple answer, the movie showed you all those things together about which people are afraid to even talk which is politics, moral science, everything has been torn to shreds. The meaning of this word UI is Universal Intelligence, which means improving yourself by making small changes in your life. If you don't understand this also, You can understand UI as U and I, which means you and me, about which this film has been made.
The film is set many years ahead from today, in a future dystopian future when the earth is completely destroyed. Already, a woman has been shown in the film who is sexually and physically molested by five-six people, her clothes, dignity, voice, everything is taken away but she is alive, who is this woman, if you recognize her and understand her, then you will find it a masterpiece. If you don't understand the movie, you will not like it and give 1 out of 10. I saw the Kalki 2898 AD in which the film starts from where the condition of humans was bad and all the power was in the hands of a master. That is the same world of UI.
In the future, the condition of the people is very bad like no freedom to eat, water, clothes, even to breathe and the reason for this is just one person who has been named Kalki. Kalki is God, he will come to save us, he will free us by killing the demon Kali. This movie has completely changed that perspective. There is another angle in this story, inside this film, another film is being released, seeing which people are really going crazy in the theatre, that film has made a record of selling the maximum number of tickets, some people are seeing it four times in a day People are buying it's tickets back to back.
The censor board watched the film 22 times before passing it. They were afraid that the film might leave a bad impact on people's minds and that is what happened. People are doing weird things as soon as they come out of the theatre. When someone broke their years-old marriage, two girls made each other their life partners after seeing that movie. It is made by Director Upendra who is also the director of UI and people who are watching the film are demanding a ban on Upendra. You got confused because you are using your brain and in the beginning the filmmaker has told you not to use your brain, only stupid people can watch this.
To tell you the truth, I have never seen a film like this in Bollywood till date and probably no one has the courage to show the bitter truth to people like UI. Can you imagine a song like this in the film? Whose lyrics are: Khan in Bollywood, Thalaiva in Tamil and Chiranjeevi Kingdom in Telugu, but above all these is Upendra's cinema which gives people wisdom, the power to think, speak intelligence. Does any director have the courage to take on other industries in this way by just adding one song?
My favorite scene in this movie is that 100 years ahead in the future, people are watching a show together on a big TV, empty stomach, without clothes and without a home. Can anyone guess what is on that TV? It is Bigg Boss which is probably going to be in its 120th season. Do you understand how Upendra, with his head wrapped in a kazam, is taking a class of all of us. Those naked poor people on the screen are none other than you and me. It is U and I. The amazing thing is that Upendra will be the one in the future Kalki Avatar who being shown as a villain, he is present in front of us today but no one will take his name.
The concept of the film is tremendous. Thinking, understanding and executing the story it is not everyone's cup of tea, the one who is considering this film as fiction probably knows that it is not that the real power of cinema is to show such a film. Let's go beyond the praises and judge the film as a film. The story is unique and different. You must not have experienced something like this till date. The acting is top level. Remember that scene from RRR? The camera was rotated 360 degrees and Upendra rotated it 1080 degrees. I am telling you that the way the film was shot is also special. A lot of scenes have been created which give international vibes.
In just 60-70 crores achieving such quality is like teasing other film makers. And yes, the climax has been ended with an open ending which means people who watch the film will decide for themselves how the film ends, whether the villain wins or the hero. Now the thing I have a complaint about is that cinema belongs to everyone, everyone should get a chance to enjoy it, the thing in which UI fails is that film making is not ordinary, it is very special but not everyone can understand it, that is why the real intention behind the film is not understood by most people.
It will not reach you, if the makers kept it a little simple like Nayak, which everyone understood then it would have been better. UI confuses the public and makes them fight among themselves. UI will be given four stars out of five for amazing story, amazing acting, dhamal and open ending climax. In negative, if maximum audience does not understand the film, it will be considered as the failure of the filmmakers, you cannot divide the audience by calling them fool and intelligent. In the end I will only say that Stop running behind your Hollywood and Try to understand Indian movies. Hollywood itself will come running to remake a movie like UI. Do not go on BookMyShow after reading this review to go to the theatre to watch this film as the movie has been given just 1 show that too in Kannada in Mumbai.
