Tuner: A Sharp, Suspenseful Acoustic Thriller!

Tuner: A Super Tense Thriller Where Music Meets Crime 🎹🔒 Directed by Daniel Roher (the guy who made Navalny ), Tuner takes a very quiet, old-school job and turns it into a high-voltage mind game. It is a lot like those classic suspense movies where a person’s special talent becomes their biggest problem. The movie beautifully turns the simple science of sound and pitch into pure thrill, giving us a super smart robbery story. The Vibe: Amazing Sound Design Meets Big Crime 🎚️🏢 The film does a great job of showing a deep character story while keeping you on the edge of your seat. The Story: We follow a lonely, super-focused piano tuner who has a literal superpower, he has 'perfect pitch' and can understand sounds like nobody else. His quiet daily routine goes out the window when a fancy gang of criminals forces him to join them. The Robbery: The mission is perfectly made for him. He has to use his crazy good hearing to crack an impossible, high-security loc...

Jigra Movie Review: Psychopath OR Sister???

Alia Bhatt's latest movie Jigra had released in theatres on 11th October. So, What is Jigra about? There are two characters of brother and sister, the bond between them is so strong that things reach the borderline psychopath level. Alia Bhatt's character Satya is the elder sister and it is her responsibility to protect her brother in any situation, whether he was in school or now that he has grown up. She has to protect him because the younger brother Ankur has gone to another country, Hanshi Dao and there is some trouble, the police have caught him and they are going to kill him within 3 months.

So the elder sister goes to that country from India and has to break the jail there and get her brother out, that's the only premise of it. And you might be finding it a little absurd that how is this possible, but the biggest win for this movie is that it makes you believe this because in a two and a half hour movie, majority run time of 90 to 100 minutes, we are just watching this jail break thing, bringing the thought to mind, planning, executing, failing, then executing again and the more different its core concept is, the better its writing is. For this, a very simple example is the main jailer character, usually he is made a villain that look how bad a person he is, how bad he is doing to the brother of the person whom the main character is trying to save, so that the audience hates him and when the main character comes and kills him, you find their actions justified, even if it means killing him. But this movie does not try that clichéd way.

I really liked the fact that not only the main characters but the team around them has also been given a lot of attention, especially Manoj Pawa as a bad ass. There were some hilarious scenes of Manoj Pawa. The performance of Vedang Raina who is playing the role of the younger brother was amazing, but the character has been used as a tool to justify Alia Bhatt's actions, which is not a big complaint because the whole movie is dependent on Satya and Alia Bhatt carried the emotional scenes, be it action or being possessive, she really pulled through. Here, the director of the movie also needs to be praised, Vasant Bala, whose last two movies you might have seen, Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota and Monika Ho My Darling.

This movie was made so creatively. If you see the character of Alia Bhatt from the introduction, you will feel that it is probably an event management job, but no, the movie will gradually give you information and you will be like Oh Acha! Till now all the aspects that I have told seem mostly positive, but then what did she do that some people might not like. See this movie is telling you the story of such a sister who can do anything, literally anything to save her brother, if in this process 10, 15, 20 innocent people die, then she doesn't care. I personally like the conviction of such a story of a sister because I don't go to see morality, the same thing applies to Sandeep Reddy Vanga's movie and here as well, but if you are one of those people who want to see only morally correct things in the movie, then stay away but if you expect that you are going to see a lot of action in it, then No and Yes.

There is a very good fight sequence in the roadside and in the end, the whole jail break sequence goes on for half an hour which is really good. But if you leave that, then the rest of the time is either setup or planning how to spend it. Personally, I am going to talk about those things that I did not like in the movie, as much as its music choices at many places became a bit dramatic according to my taste, it is quite good to listen to, they play the Phoolo Ka Taaro Ka song and right at the end there is a sequence on the boat, I think that was a bit unnecessary because till that point the movie remained as realistic as possible, but in the last 5 minutes something happens to create suspense.

What I said about the music was only on the choices that what has been chosen to play at which moment. Actually all the songs or musical pieces are quite great in themselves. Its cinematography, lighting and camera work were good. Overall, I found Jigra quite solid, I got to see what I had expected, even better. So if you want to watch a movie based on brother-sister love, Jigra is the best choice. Jigra is currently steaming on NETFLIX.

Narivetta: The Wolf Hunt Movie Review: Tovino Thomas' Boldest Film YET??

So, I watched the movie Narivetta, which actually released in theatres a month ago. But I didn’t get a chance to watch it earlier because there was no watch option available here. I wanted to watch it mainly because, first of all, Malayalam films usually have strong content, and secondly, this movie had created quite a hype after its theatrical release. Now, this movie has come on Sony Liv, it was supposed to release on 11th July, but they uploaded it a day earlier. Anyway, it’s finally here, and I have watched it. The total length of the movie is around two hours and fifteen minutes. The first half may make you wonder whether to continue watching or not because the gripping moments, which you expect in any content, disappear after the first 15 minutes. It follows a simple storyline about one man who is poor but educated. He works very hard to become an IPS officer, but due to his family’s poor financial condition, he is forced to take a job as a CRPF constable. After that, the story t...

Meiyazhagan Movie Review: A Story of Stories, Forgotten Memories, and Quiet Reflections

You cannot call yourself a true fan of Indian cinema until you have watched the masterpiece 96 from the Tamil film industry. It is an experience that takes all of us back in time under the pretext of showing a film. This cinema is more real and emotional than real life itself, where you start finding yourself, and when the film ends, you try your best to somehow change its ending. Very few movies are made that you won’t find a single person in the entire world speaking against. Every person who has watched this film became a lifelong fan. The story of Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha was truly once in a lifetime. Every single scene in the film was perfect, every dialogue had meaning, and the music was heavenly. But listen carefully, I said ‘was’, because past tense no longer applies. Now, in the present, there is a film that can rival 96, a film so flawless that no human on this earth can find a mistake in it. If anyone asks for the true meaning of the word ‘cinema’, just show them this fil...

Argylle Movie Review: A Shocking No-Hype Film

So I went to see Superman i.e. Henry Cavill's latest film Argylle which is a spy comedy thriller movie of 2 hours 19 minutes. How is this film, let's talk. Well hello, my name is Artist and we will meet again and again. First of all, this film is not hyped, brother, no seriously, the show I went to, the theatre was actually completely empty. Well, is it worth taking interest or not? Let's talk about the movie, brother, even though its story is from a spy genre, Story telling and concept shown is very different, I mean from a writer's point of view, in the first half you will feel as if you are watching a super natural fictional story, I will not tell much otherwise it will be a spoiler. But the way the writer's fictional character has been connected with real life was great and also I liked the action sequences and editing of this film is the best, the best example of which you can see in its train sequence. You will find it in the sequence where a good fight is goi...
