Filmfare Awards 2023: Vikrant Massey V/S Ranbir Kapoor

There was a time when you and I used to sit in front of the TV with the whole family and wait for the award shows of Bollywood. When someone got a trophy, we used to think that becoming the best actor and actress is a big thing. I wish someday I could be my favorite hero and heroine. But Bollywood Awards will never be the same as before. Well, hello, my name is Artist and we will meet again and again.

Let's talk about Filmfare Awards Sir which is making a lot of headlines these days, whether you want to or not and as always. It is not about the one who has got the trophy, but about the one who should have got it. Welcome to Bollywood. Why think only about bad things, brother, I am very happy because 12 Fail has been chosen as the best film. How often does this happen when only Rs. 20 crores small budget film can overshadow a 500-600 crore project.

I am also super happy that Arjan Vaily by Bhupinder Babbal won the Best song. Brother, this song was deserving 101%. The hype of Animal was made 50% just because of this song. And my personal favorite award for Best Story has been given to the very deserving OMG 2 and Joram. Making a film on God and making people understand is much more difficult than you think, brother, that too when the film gets an adult certificate, in such a picture. Chalana is a salute to Amit Rai.

Many people are complaining, how did Ranbir Kapoor get the best actor for Animal, brother, he got it in such a way that without any Franchise or sequel or even without a budget of Rs 400-500 crore, there is only one reason to earn Rs 900 crore at the box office, Name: Ranbir Kapoor. People are saying that Vikrant Massey is more deserving in 12 Fail, why brother, just because he is an underrated artist, does his performance become better than Ranbir?

Yes, there was a film in 2016 named Death in the Gunj. If you want to fight for that performance then I am with you, Vikrant will be the best actor 100% but 12th Fail is a team effort, a lot of supporting characters complete the film together whereas Animal is a one man show especially when one is winning people's hearts by playing a negative shade character is a big achievement in itself.

If you have to fight for right and wrong then grab the Best Actress category. Alia Bhatt for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani is fine till second or third rank but not worthy of 1st rank. People are taking the name of Rani Mukherjee as the best, no chance. Undoubtedly her work in the film is tremendous. One Woman Show, this line is heard very rarely. But according to me, Medha Shankar, who also starred in 12th Fail, Bollywood Awards did not keep her name in the first rank and showed its worth.

Manoj's struggle is as important as Shraddha's contribution in both film and in real life. Specially a new artist, first time, salute hai. She may not be the best actress but could have given the best debut but there too she was totally ignored. This is not Filmfare but it is Film Unfair Award and what is even more shocking is that in the entire Filmfare list, Jawan's name has appeared only at one place and that too for VFX, that is Red Chillies award, not for Jawan.

What was wrong with the dialogues which was narrated by Shahrukh Khan, The Bad Guy in the Metro, yes those “Kisan Wali”. Is there nothing special about listening to that story. How can Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani get the best dialogue? Brother, this is a thing that is totally beyond my understanding. Both Bengali and Hindi are not pure in that film and I can't believe that how can someone sideline an artist like Vicky Kaushal, they are giving the supporting actor award, are you taking the hint?

Sam Bahadur as Total film, I found it average but Vicky Kaushal's performance. Vicky’s Chehra has taken the place of Sam Bahadur in real life for me forever. चलो Best Actor popular ना ही सही but in Critic’s category, Vicky for Sam Bahadur along with Vikrant for 12th Fail, this award should have been 50-50.

There is a little confusion in the Best Song For Lyrics category also, please give me your opinion, Tere Vaste, from Zara Hatke Zara Bachke has been selected for the awards, but according to me, the restart song of 12th Fail movie is a once in a life time thing from the film. Coming out, it shakes you up in real life.
