It is a lot of fun watching mass movies like KGF, Pushpa, Salaar, but one thing is missing in all of them, the real life connection, that is, the action etc. shown has no point, in reality everything is fictional, that is why the emotions are so hit. We don't have a boss but last night I saw Captain Miller and I was literally shocked to see the subject of the film because this time the bloodshed was very real. Dhanush is the boss where this name is written, you understand something new outside the theatre. After the experience you will go back home Disappointed and this time literally Captain Miller has blown my senses. Making mass cinema a class by connecting it with real life incidents. Wow this is real cinema.
The story is about a dacoit ie लुटेरा. Almost 100 years ago, the British government had placed a reward of Rs 10,000 on him. What would a dacoit have done in 1930 that the Britishers had to put a ₹10,000 bounty on him? He did nothing much but o ocked the English officers in a room and made them meet with guns. Three officers and 50 bullets. Now even the British know about Yamraj. Why are they so angry just because in the name in the advertisement the British forgot to write Captain in front of Miller or is there some past angle behind this bloodshed? Now get ready because there is no one else who can put Captain in front of Miller, it is the British Government itself. Yes, our hero or villain, whatever you want to call him, he was once an officer of this British Army, friend, Captain Miller came from there, let me fast forward a little.
Story: There will be such a scene in the film when English officers will be blown up with bombs after being tied to a tree like coconuts. Now tell me, is the reward of Rs 10,000 not less for the one who will kill the Englishman, whose eyes people were afraid of looking into? All that remains is that after hearing all the big things, before booking the ticket, listen carefully that this film is not for everyone. Understand that, Captain Miller is like a war drama, instead of decorating it with high hi-fi budget, it is completely different. The story of the film is presented with raw brutality and violence and the way of telling the story is even better but the enemy of both of them is time. Yes, it takes time to set the story and the other thing that has to be kept in mind is that Bhaiya, the film is full of action, in two and a half hours, understand that for one and a half hour, there will be only heavy action, but the action is very stylish.
Boss, cool music is playing behind, full of energy, here the नंगा नाच of death is walking on the screen, in this film that is love. Don't expect a cadaver romance on which the film is made longer by inserting two-three songs. Miller Sahab will not pass the time. Yes, but the emotions of the film are very solid, especially when the cast highlights issues like discrimination and religion. Straight hearted. It seems that you have noticed in movies like KGF or Salaar that both the lead characters are absolutely dangerous in the present but how and why they became like this is not told. This is the strength of Captain Miller. There is a history ie back story which can convince you that how a villager बन गया एक बंदूक़ चलाने वाला CAPTAIN MILLER. Come on. You are not able to understand all this, just go to watch the film relying on one name, Dhanush. Take Dhanush’s Asuran and Karnan for example, if you take 99% of actors on one side and Dhanush and His TALENT on the other side, it will lean towards him.
Captain Miller, you will not just watch it, you will remember it for the whole life, you will probably get the best compliment from it that this is the first film that will be remembered just by an actor’s name. So, for me this film will get 4 stars out of 5. Firstly, amazing action with tremendous background music which is a Deadly Combination. Secondly, Story Plus Story Telling transforms Captain Miller from mass to class. Thirdly, Performances, Undo every character as if it was made for the same actor. Fourth, it is cinematography, i.e. recreating the time of 1930-1940 and then like this making crazy scenes and applause. Among the negatives, there are two complaints. First is that the film feels longer than it actually is. Reason is that some scenes are repeated and at some places the screen play is slow. Second complaint is which I personally do not want to make but I am not the only one in the theatre. The rest of the people who went may not be able to understand such movies but 50 of them. This film is not for everyone but how to make it for everyone, beyond that the director sir should think. And if you liked something in the rest of the blog or want to complain then please tell in the comments or wait for some time, I will meet you in the next blog.
