KANTARA: A LEGEND-CHAPTER 1=Will This Film Be Able To Impress The Audience And Repeat Kantara- A Legend’s Success?

Kantara Movie is now a franchisee in which the next movie was announced but today let’s see it’s first look and if you don't know anything about it then your natural instinct would be to call it Kantara Part Two but that is not its official name. It is Kantara: a legend-Chapter One, but if you are thinking that you will get to see it in the next two-three months then no, its shooting has started from this month itself, its auspicious time has been fixed, but this is the first look which was shown to you. Well, we can guess a lot from it. In the beginning, the shorts shown where he is running through the forest and when he stops, a circle of fire is formed around him, is from the first picture only, after that we see an underground. 

The place in which light is coming from above, this character will be played by Rishabh Shetty only and the look has been given exactly like Lord Shiva, he also has a trident in his hand. If you remember, his character's name was also Shiva, not inside Kantara Forest, this is Chapter One. Not Chapter One, which is this movie, I am talking about the original Kantara, so why is there so much confusion about the name? Actually, the next movie you will get to see is set before Kantara-A legend and they have named this Part One. Given Chapter One, it gives a hint that there will be more movies coming later, which they will name as Chapter Two, which will be the third movie in the series, then the confusion is going to increase. I am reminded of Astra Verse, now some theory can be made here. 

It is believed that this character who looks like Lord Shiva could be his father who disappears in Shiva's childhood and there is a possibility of this but this new upcoming movie will not be set much earlier because in it the first Are you getting confused? Rest of the characters of this Kantara movie are also going to reappear like his love interest Leela played by Saptami Gowda or the forest inspector character played by Kishore. The next clue which we can see from this first look. You can hear a dialogue through voiceover in Kannada, which is the original language of this movie, not in Hindi in which it became so popular, but in English, so that everyone can be targeted with a single teaser. But the English dialogues are not understood. Now that is not clear. But I have listened to it five-six times and figured out that, ”Light is everything visible in light but this is just not light. It's a vision, a vision.” Then it shows us what was, what is and what will be tomorrow can you see it means, if you did not understand because it is a bit complicated then I played that movie again and somehow found that scene 2 hours 4 minutes, you can go and check the dialogue there in the Hindi dub, not Roshni. In Roshni, everyone can see everything, but this is not light, it is Darshan. 

Now I understand, Rishab Shetty, who was the writer, director and main lead actor of Kantara movie. He has done everything, it is said that he already had the story of Part Two, but you and me all know that why he is getting a chance to make Part Two, because Kantara-a legend was so successful, that is why we are hopeful. Let us ensure that the next movie that comes out should also deliver. We can take the majority of the previous movie and improve it, but how will we top its ending? Will we be able to succeed in recreating the feeling of the last 10-15 minutes? 

This is a big question because it was the ending of Kantara that people felt so strongly about and this is an example of how important the ending of a movie is because your story is built from the beginning till that point. If you probably don't know then the previous movie Kantara had grossed 400 crores worldwide which is more than Pushpa, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani and Adipurush. Even in Karnataka state, Kantara beat KGF Chapter Two which is its Home, I have deliberately thrown the name of a movie in the ground because I wanted to tell you that the budget of Kantara was 16 crores. You know which movie I am talking about, but the money raised for Kantara 2 is being wasted like this. The reported budget is Rs 125 crore. Where will that much money be used? How will the movie be improved because the first one was good in appearance? A good amount of money will go towards the salaries of the actors and maybe also they will erect the sets which will show the underground scene we are watching. But now the interesting thing will be seen whether Pushpa Part 2 and Kantara 2 will be history repeating or reverse.
