2024: Will It Be The Most Expensive Year For Cinema??

 Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen! Today, we are diving into the most anticipated movies of the entire year. But hold on a second! Let's not get ahead of ourselves. We have to start by talking about the incredible movies that will be released in January of 2024. Out of the twelve movies released, five of them are worth at least Rs. 50 crore. Can you believe it? From a budget of Rs. 50 crore to a whopping Rs. 600 crore, these movies are going to blow your mind!

Now, let's get into the nitty-gritty. We have a lot to cover, so buckle up! Three movies are set to be released simultaneously on January 12th. The first one is "HanuMan," directed by Prashanth Varma. This movie will star Teja Sajja. This movie is going to take us on a journey through the superheroes of our history. It's been years since we've seen something like this, and I can't wait! This will also form our own Cinematic Universe.

Next up, we have Ek Haseena Thi, Badlapur and Andhadhun director Sriram Raghavan's crime thriller, "Merry Christmas." With a budget of Rs. 60 crores, this movie is sure to keep us on the edge of our seats.This movie will star Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif in prominent roles.


But wait, there's more! On the same day, January 12th, we also have the release of "Captain Miller," directed by Arun Matheswaran and starring the talented Dhanush. This movie doesn't look like a Rs. 50 crore film at all but looks like a Rs.150 crores film. It's got all the ingredients of a blockbuster, set in the 1930s. Get ready to see Dhanush in a whole new avatar!

Moving on to January 25th, we have Hrithik Roshan and Siddharth Anand's "Fighter." This is going to be India's first aerial action film, made with a jaw-dropping budget of 250 crores. Siddharth Anand seems to be obsessed with Tom Cruise's movies, and I can't wait to see what he has in store for us.


Just a day later, on January 26th, we have Chiyaan Vikram's "Thangalaan,” made for 150 crores, this movie is sure to leave us in awe of Chiyaan Vikram's talent. This movie is directed by Pa Ranjith. The National Award is practically guaranteed for Chiyaan Vikram’s performance in the film!

Now, let's fast forward to February 14th. Valentine's Day just got a whole lot hotter with the arrival of Dakota Johnson's "Madame Web." This movie is set to set fire inside the cold universe of Marvel Cinema, with a budget of 100 million. Get ready for some mind-blowing sci-fi action!

But the excitement doesn't stop there. On March 1st, we have the continuation of the sci-fi drama revenge story, "Dune Part 2." If you experienced the first part in the theater in 2021, brace yourselves for an even bigger adventure. This movie is expected to make over $120 million. Get ready to be blown away!

Next up, we have the sequel to one of Hollywood's biggest franchises. "Kingdom of The Planet of the Apes" is coming on March 24th. With an investment of 550 million dollars, this franchise has earned Disney a whopping 2 billion dollars. It's safe to say that this movie is going to keep the cash registers ringing.

April 12th brings us a $200 million Hollywood blockbuster, "Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire." This movie is going to give us all the thrills and chills we crave. Get ready to be on the edge of your seat!

Let's take a moment to appreciate the most expensive movie in the history of Australia. "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga" is made with a mind-boggling budget of $233 million. And the reason behind its high cost? Practical effects! Get ready to witness an epic ride like no other.

Now, let's talk about the saviour of the drowning MCU which will come on July 26th. Deadpool and Wolverine are teaming up to fight the same villain in "Deadpool 3." With a budget of $110 million, this movie is guaranteed to smash box office records. Get ready for some serious superhero showdown!

Moving on to June 21st, we have "Indian 2." Directed by S. Shankar, this movie is set to be a game-changer. With a budget of Rs. 250 crores, this director is known for his larger-than-life films. Get ready to witness Kamal Hassan fighting corruption once again. It's going to be epic!

And now, for the most expensive movie in Indian cinema history. Prabhas is back with "Kalki: 2898 AD." This unique story is going to keep us at the edge of our seats. If it's anything like "Adipurush," Prabhas is going to have a smashing hit on his hands.

Brace yourselves for the clash of the year on August 15th. "Pushpa 2: The Rule" with a budget of Rs 450 crore is here to rule! The story revolves around Stylish Star Allu Arjun who will portray the character of Pushpa Raj, a gangster who climbs his way to the top.

But that's not all! Rohit Shetty's Cop Universe’s “Singham Again" is also releasing on the same day. Though the budget remains undisclosed, you can expect to see all your favorite Bollywood celebrities in this high-octane thriller!

As we reach October 4th, prepare for a heart-pounding experience. "Joker 2" continues the gripping case that had the media buzzing. But here's the exciting part: Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn! This musical thriller is sure to raise the bar for suspense.

Last but not least, we have Jr NTR starring in "Devara Part 1" on October 21st. With a budget of Rs. 140 crores, Director Koratala Siva has promised to surprise us with this action thriller. This movie will have The Legendary Music Director, Anirudh Ravichander. Get ready for a rollercoaster ride of emotions!

Meiyazhagan Movie Review: A Story of Stories, Forgotten Memories, and Quiet Reflections
