Tuner: A Sharp, Suspenseful Acoustic Thriller!

Tuner: A Super Tense Thriller Where Music Meets Crime 🎹🔒 Directed by Daniel Roher (the guy who made Navalny ), Tuner takes a very quiet, old-school job and turns it into a high-voltage mind game. It is a lot like those classic suspense movies where a person’s special talent becomes their biggest problem. The movie beautifully turns the simple science of sound and pitch into pure thrill, giving us a super smart robbery story. The Vibe: Amazing Sound Design Meets Big Crime 🎚️🏢 The film does a great job of showing a deep character story while keeping you on the edge of your seat. The Story: We follow a lonely, super-focused piano tuner who has a literal superpower, he has 'perfect pitch' and can understand sounds like nobody else. His quiet daily routine goes out the window when a fancy gang of criminals forces him to join them. The Robbery: The mission is perfectly made for him. He has to use his crazy good hearing to crack an impossible, high-security loc...

8 Most Underrated and Ignored Movies of 2023

2023 has been a great year for Hindi cinema, many films have been successful, although not only successful, massively successful, the audience has celebrated so many films like Jawan, Pathan, Animal Gadar 2, but in the meantime, there are some films which are very underappreciated, despite being so strong. My name is Artist and in this blog, I am gonna tell you some of the most underrated Hindi films of 2023. Do read the blog till the end because it has very good film recommendations for you.

At Number 8 is 8 am metro, this is a very heartwarming kind of a love story. In the film, we see two characters who are traveling in the 8 am metro in the morning. They meet during this journey and they become friends and whenever they meet, they always have day to day conversations. Because of these conversations, they get close to each other and the film is so simple but still very effective. Gulshan Devaiah and Saiyami Kher's acting performance are quite strong and I was feeling that the viewership of this film should be a little more. Definitely one of the most underrated films of 2023.

At Number Seven is Kathal. My experience of watching this film was very good. It is a satirical comedy where a minister's कटहल is stolen from his garden. He loves that कटहल so much that the police of the entire city has to arrest the thief for that कटहल. Meanwhile, on the other hand, a serious mystery is also going on where a girl is kidnapped. Both the stories in the film run parallel and the film makes a kind of commentary on our society. If you like such Films, then कटहल is a must watch film.

At Number six, you always have expectations from Sudhir Mishra's film because he has been a Fearless Filmmaker. Afwaah is probably not his greatest film but for me it still holds so much value. The entire film is mostly a story of one night where a rumor is spread around two people in the entire city. In this film, an atmosphere of communal tension is created through propaganda. Behind all this there is a powerful politician who spreads this rumor in the entire city through his social media team. This film shows you very well how in a social media world. Things are planned and how in reality your mind also gets hijacked by reading the same things again and again. You start believing the story of the adventurous social media to be true and at the end you too become a part of that propaganda somewhere. The narrative of the film shows very well how a rumor can take someone's life. This is a very interesting film. Please definitely watch it.

At Number five is Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai, this is a court room drama film and I am a court room drama enthusiast. So every year, there should be a kind of court room drama film, I am totally up for it so for 2023, in the film, Manoj Bajpayee's character fights a rape case against a powerful godman. The film contains all the things that we typically see in such cases in real life. The film shows the portrayal of the case of an underage rape victim. This is done in the media and how her family is pressurized. There was sensationalism in the film but a lot of truth was also there. It was a very impressive film. This is quite underrated because the narrative of the film is very easy to understand and the way the film progresses in each interval, it was quite an impressive film and I think quite underrated too. Manoj Bajpayee's performance is top notch. If you like such sensational court room drama films then it's A must watch.

At Number 4 is Bheed, when this film was released, it was a complete flop at the box office, but honestly Bheed was not a bad film at all. There was a scenario in the lockdown where lakhs of migrant laborers had to go to their homes, that too without any transport, without any assistance. It clearly shows the pandemic in modern history, which will always be seen as a dark time. The stories that are there amidst that pandemic. I was so amazed to see how a fiction film has shown that entire incident. Bheed sucked in making us feel that trauma.

At Number Three are Kapil Sharma and Nandita Das Coming Together for a Film Which Was a Very Rare Collaboration That We Saw In ZWIGATO. We see the story of a man who starts working as a delivery boy due to unemployment and his date today struggles. Her sacrifices, those small happy moments of her life, all these aspects are shown to you in the film. When I was watching this film, I was able to relate to it a lot because somewhere or the other the delivery people are a part of our life. ZWIGATO has become an important part and brought together the unheard stories of all of them into a film.

Number two is Three Of Us. What a film it was! I will always remember the experience of watching this film. This film is also a Realistic love story. This film is also a coming of age. Overall, this film is a near to masterpiece for me. In the story of the film, we see a character on a nostalgia trip somewhere in his past life. Let's see her go back to the places where she did her schooling, where she used to live in her childhood and the most important moment is when she meets this person whom she once loved. Shefali Shah and Jaideep Ahlawat's performance in the film is just outstanding if you have seen three of us then do let me know in the comments how did you like this film because rarely people have seen this film so I would love to know your opinion about this film.

At Number One is Joram, One Of The Most Raw And Honest Films Of This Year. Joram Was A Solid Cinema Experience. The Film Shows How A tribal has to pick up a gun to save his land, but if you think about what happens to those who do not want to pick up a gun, you get to see the same story line with Manoj Bajpayee's character, how he leaves the land of his village. Joram survives by going to Mumbai city and how through political angle he is implicated in a murder case. There are other stories going on in the background of this story and it makes you realize that you are watching a very special film. Definitely one of the strongest cinematic films of this year and also probably the most underrated film of this year.

Let's end the blog here. You also tell me in the comments which of these films you found the most unrated. Do let me know in the comments. Alright then see you in the next blog till then keep reading Flick XPress for more blogs like this. Let me know if you want a Part 2 of this blog in the comments.

Narivetta: The Wolf Hunt Movie Review: Tovino Thomas' Boldest Film YET??

So, I watched the movie Narivetta, which actually released in theatres a month ago. But I didn’t get a chance to watch it earlier because there was no watch option available here. I wanted to watch it mainly because, first of all, Malayalam films usually have strong content, and secondly, this movie had created quite a hype after its theatrical release. Now, this movie has come on Sony Liv, it was supposed to release on 11th July, but they uploaded it a day earlier. Anyway, it’s finally here, and I have watched it. The total length of the movie is around two hours and fifteen minutes. The first half may make you wonder whether to continue watching or not because the gripping moments, which you expect in any content, disappear after the first 15 minutes. It follows a simple storyline about one man who is poor but educated. He works very hard to become an IPS officer, but due to his family’s poor financial condition, he is forced to take a job as a CRPF constable. After that, the story t...

Meiyazhagan Movie Review: A Story of Stories, Forgotten Memories, and Quiet Reflections

You cannot call yourself a true fan of Indian cinema until you have watched the masterpiece 96 from the Tamil film industry. It is an experience that takes all of us back in time under the pretext of showing a film. This cinema is more real and emotional than real life itself, where you start finding yourself, and when the film ends, you try your best to somehow change its ending. Very few movies are made that you won’t find a single person in the entire world speaking against. Every person who has watched this film became a lifelong fan. The story of Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha was truly once in a lifetime. Every single scene in the film was perfect, every dialogue had meaning, and the music was heavenly. But listen carefully, I said ‘was’, because past tense no longer applies. Now, in the present, there is a film that can rival 96, a film so flawless that no human on this earth can find a mistake in it. If anyone asks for the true meaning of the word ‘cinema’, just show them this fil...

Argylle Movie Review: A Shocking No-Hype Film

So I went to see Superman i.e. Henry Cavill's latest film Argylle which is a spy comedy thriller movie of 2 hours 19 minutes. How is this film, let's talk. Well hello, my name is Artist and we will meet again and again. First of all, this film is not hyped, brother, no seriously, the show I went to, the theatre was actually completely empty. Well, is it worth taking interest or not? Let's talk about the movie, brother, even though its story is from a spy genre, Story telling and concept shown is very different, I mean from a writer's point of view, in the first half you will feel as if you are watching a super natural fictional story, I will not tell much otherwise it will be a spoiler. But the way the writer's fictional character has been connected with real life was great and also I liked the action sequences and editing of this film is the best, the best example of which you can see in its train sequence. You will find it in the sequence where a good fight is goi...
